Sold my house. Did change of address. Contacted suppliers for my home business of new address. New owner harassing that when he googles the address my business name still appears linked to the address. Tried to contact these web sites/businesses (trying to be nice) and cant get through to some of them. They are fly by nights or spammers. Do I have any legal obligations?
no you have no legal obligation unless you agreed to something in purchase agreement. you deeded property to buyer as promised.
tell him you have done all you can do and leave you alone.

We are living abroad and plan on selling our place back home. Can I close on our home without my husband being their if I have general power of attorney? Do I need to file my poa with the county clerk’s office? thanks
If you have a power of attorney authorizing you to sell the property and it is spelled out as such then you will not have a problem. A general power of attorney normally authorize you to do normal things such as banking, signing certain legal documents that would normally be signed for everyday things that would keep the family afloat.
Selling a house is not an every day thing. With a power of attorney authorizing you as your husband’s spouse you would then be authorized to sign everything and all documents having to do with this real estate transaction as if he was actually there.
The escrow would not send your husband any documents to sign.
With the modern methods of communication normally you can do a real estate transaction using fax, email and overnight shipping. Any documents requiring a notary can be accomplish where ever your husband is located. Even if your husband is over seas all embassies normally have a notary public that can assist American citizen with things that require a notary. As in the United States there is a fee for using the services of a notary.
I hope this has been of some benefit to you, good luck.

We’re going to be putting our house on the market soon. We don’t have a lot of money to renovate things and make our house look modern, but aside from replacing/fixing a few things (carpet, faucets, paint), what can we do to help sell our house fast? Or what would make our house appeal to more people?
Lower the price at least 10% lower then the competition.

Can anyone recommend any websites for selling your house privately online?
Please only answer if you have any experience of trying this!!!
If you were successful or unsuccessful i’d like to know what website you listed on, what the fees were like etc?
Please DONT give me a list of propert websites from google… obviously i have already done this! I’d really like advice from those who have experience of this
Sorry forget to say, i live in the UK
I tried rightmove because it is well known but the fees are expensive and I had only two viewings for a very beautiful house I was offering at a really reasonable price. I tried a few online sites for advertising privately with little faith and to my suprise the one that was absolutely free and just there to host my advert brought me the most sucess, three offers and a sale. They are called availablehouse .com. Also house ladder online are good. Check the statistics and how many people view these sites first. Email or call them to find out what is involved, if they take commission and be reluctant to pay for advertising space. If you do decide to choose a site where you have to pay, ensure your payment details will be safe and secure like via paypal.
I hope your sale is smooth and easy like mine turned out to be. This must be a very stressful time for you, selling your house is a big deal. Hang in there, it’s easier than you think. God Bless xx
